Dr. Hate, the crew from Voices with Vision (Tuesdays 10a WPFW 89.3 FM, wpfw.org), The Black Power Ranger and Ateya Ball-Lacey were all on hand for critical reflections on the 4th of July and efforts to restore lost humanity and histories.  We also sneak previewed our forthcoming documentary George Jackson: Releasing the Dragon by airing an exclusive interview clip from one of Jackson’s comrades David Johnson about The Dragon and Jackson being the consummate soldier. Please also check out Ball-Lacey’s project, Hood Smart: The Urban STEMulus Project for more!

“A BUCH OF PUNKS WHO GOTTA ENLIST OTHER PEOPLE TO FIGHT FOR THEM”

Without their hocus-pocus they are just 300 old white men.

“The ongoing dispersal of global power is furthered by the emergence of a volatile phenomenon: the worldwide political awakening of populations until recently politically passive or repressed…this awakening is the cumulative product of an interactive and interdependent world connected by instant visual communications and of the demographic youth bulge in the less advanced societies composed of the easy-to-mobilize and politically restless university students and the socially deprived unemployed. Both groups resent the richer portions of humanity and the privileged corruption of their rulers. That resentment of authority and privilege is unleashing populist passions with unprecedented potential for generating large-scale turmoil.”
Zbigniew Brzezinski, Strategic Vision: America and the Crisis of Global Power (THE IMPACT OF GLOBAL POLITICAL AWAKENING)
