  1. I’m gonna need to watch this two more times.. but I found this conversation very interesting. I think white males are also racialized.. what does that mean?

  2. Dr. Curry is clearly one of the most brilliant scholars in the vein of Dr. Welsing, Dr. Amos Wilson, and Dr. Marimba Ani, that we’ve seen in the past 20 years. But, I agree with Walter, for his message to be effective as a tool of liberation and empowerment it can’t be delivered in post-doctoral language. It seemed like even Dr. Ball was struggling with the way some of the information was presented.

Many of us grassroots folks had that kind of problem reading Yurugu, but Dr. Ani developed some companion materials that made Yurugu user friendly. Now a lot of grassroots people get it. I think Dr. Curry’s perspective could be valuable with all of the formations coming at us from within — the Black male privilege folks, the Queer Movement, etc, and from without — 21st century white redeemers. But it has to be packaged so that at least “conscious” grassroots people can spread the message.

  3. Curry”s vocabulary is so deep it’s almost as if he’s talking another language. I had to watch this piece twice.
