People gathered today to protest the planned merger between Sinclair Broadcasting Group and the Tribune Company. Speakers addressed issues of media consolidation, right-wing news, Trump influence over media policy and racism in the press. Speakers included Brandi Collins of Color Of Change, Craig Aaron of Free Press, Yosef Getachew of Common Cause and Cheryl Leanza of the United Church of Christ.
