  1. A most worthy, perceptive and relevant analysis from all three Academic Lecturers. I’d like to commemorate this 50 years of Black Studies as a Core Discipline and Field with two heartfelt statements and quotes from Dr. Chancellor Williams, from his widely acclaimed book, ‘The Destruction of Black Civilization’:

“What became of the Black People of Sumer?” the traveller asked the old man, “for ancient records show that the people of Sumer were Black. What happened to them?” “Ah,” the old man sighed. “They lost their history, so they died.” — A Sumer Legend

From the book’s Dedication: To the Black youth of the Nineteen Sixties for Beginning the Second Great Emancipation- the Liberation of Our Minds and thus Changing the Course of History.
