   Love “A Maroon by Definition Is Free” & this panel! Maroon inspired so many others in & outside prison walls, especially juveniles sentenced to LWOP. Like Queen Nanny in Jamaica who freed herself & other slaves, Maroon taught countless others what freedom means. After he’d won a lawsuit he’d filed, he used the money to pay for tablets for people in PA prisons.

   Salutes to BLM for this excellent program! Russell Maroon Jr. & Sharon Maroon gave us a greater understanding of who their father was, as a revolutionary & as a man. I also loved “I Am Maroon” and think this book should be part of every high school & college history class. Straight ahead!
