Muhammad Ali and the Fight for Radical Historical Memory

In this segment of iMWiL! we discussed the radical legacies of Muhammad Ali and the tremendous media push to re-image the man as more “palatable for White power.” Our guests were Kevin Blackistone, Washington Post journalist and professor of journalism at the University of Maryland at College Park, and Dave Zirin, journalist, writer and host of Edge of Sports and also author of What’s My Name, Fool? Sports and Resistance in the United States

  1. Real deep as the ocean I must say. It’s a shame that WPFW cancelled Dr. Balls show. I do like Dave Zirin very much for touching on topics that tell the truth unlike these other pundits on TV who cater to the masses of white American a***s

    1. Thanks. But in the end WPFW did NOT cancel our show. We made the decision to leave. We still go back a few times a year for specials and for the annual Hate Awards and Ms. Katea Stitt is our heroine!
