From the website:

Cassette started in late 2011 as a Kickstarter campaign, during which time we were fortunate enough to meet our funding goal of $25,000, thanks of course to our wonderful and generous backers. Since then, we’ve been interviewing musicians, collectors, record labels, authors, and historians about the cassette.

Scheduled for completion in late 2013, Cassette will be a feature-length documentary detailing the history and importance of the audiocassette.

Zack Taylor recently completed his MFA in film production from the University of Wales. He lives in New York City. As a lifelong fan of music who could never actually play an instrument, Zack began making mixtapes for close friends in elementary school as a way to share his musical tastes.

Seth Smoot is a commercial photographer living in New York City with his wife and two daughters. Among others, he has shot for Anthropologie, Morgan Stanley, Soul by Ludacris, Random House, Barsuk, Capitol Records, Warner Bros. Records, Fox Searchlight, and Anthology Magazine.

Nature Program is the moniker of Brooklyn-based musician Eric Pitra. Using solely analogue equipment (and outputting tracks to audio tape), Eric has created a series of original songs for Cassette’s soundtrack.
