Shortly after his release from a 44+ year prison sentence Marshall “Eddie” Conway joined us for this edition of Inside the SGJC Studio.* Dominque Stevenson was also on hand along with two special guests from her Friend of a Friend prison program.

*Inside the SGJC Studio was a short-lived (4 episode) student-driven television project from the School of Global Journalism and Communication at Morgan State University.

  1. It is so interesting that Black Panther members are among the forefront in community organizing even to this day. From Marshall Eddie Conway, Dhoruba bin Wahad, Kiilu Nyasha, the O’Neals in Tanzania, and many many more mostly nameless people –these men and women just do not know the meaning of the word ‘quit’. With so many working people just waiting to hit retirement age, I am in awe that Mr. Conway has found a passion that he is willing to do for the rest of his life after the torture he has endured and the age that he has reached. It just goes to show that the rank and file members of the Party lived the saying “The Struggle Continues.” I hope nothing but the best for him and all of his former and current comrades.
